Here is the background story, I went to a local thrift store and was looking to get some cheap toys for my dog, cuz he destroys toys pretty fast… and as I was looking this caught my eye, I know nothing about bears but can see quality when I see it.. what is it ? Looks like hand made and was wondering the value ? I think I paid a few bucks for it, thanks!

Also looks in very good condition for something made in 1979.

Your bear seems to be handmade. The tag and jacket or coat seems be from a Paddington Bear.

Thanks for reply, what do you think of its value ? I don't really collect teddy bears and want to sell it, will probably list it on Ebay soon, but wanted to get an idea of starting bid.

I've done a little bit more research for you. The pictures were not very good or too clear. To me looks like gentle Ben from the late sixties. Here's a link that one sold on eBay.
